The homeowners came to us with a front deck that had started to rot and was too small to actually be useful. It needed to come out entirely, and they wanted something bigger built in its place, without losing the character of the front entry.
Our Approach
We designed a larger deck footprint that fit the front of the house and worked through the permit process ourselves, so the homeowners didn't have to chase paperwork. For materials, we used Trex decking paired with TimberTech's aluminum IRX railing system, an upgrade from the original wood rail. We handled everything from the plans through the final build.
The ResultThe finished deck is larger, sturdier, and built to hold up to Rim Country weather without the maintenance a wood deck would need. The aluminum IRX railing turned out to be the detail homeowners noticed most, it's a premium option that changes the whole look of the entry.
